A pod is a fully-enclosed gaming environment designed to amplify the immersive quality of next-gen video games.  It is also a small group of whales, but we don't sell those. 2.  What is a cockpit? The same thing as a pod.  We tend to use the terms interchangeably. 3.  Why do I need a pod? Because all the cool people have one. Also, we (the creators of PodWombats) won't game without them.  And we suspect those who share our passion for video games will feel the same after experiencing our pods.  Simply put, it makes your gaming experience, whether it be an FPS, flight/racing simulator, or MMORPG far more immersive.  It also shields you from pesky outside distractions like phone calls, spouses, cats, or smoke alarms. 4.  This is a giant box.... That's not a question.  But, beauty is in the eye of a beholder.  If you see our pods as "just a box", then this may not be the product for you (and you also aren't near the Geek you thought you were).  If you see the pods as we do, then you'll probably want to buy like 5 of them. We can assure you that our design is the result of years of making pods.  We strongly believe that the Mark III design is the best balance to achieve affordability, quality, and feasability in the average home. 5.  Who are you guys? We are long-time gamers just like many of our customers.  After years of making pods for personal use and close friends, PodWombats was founded in 2007 to share something that takes your gaming to a new level.  Find out more about us here. 6.  Why wombat?
