G. Assembly/Maintenance |
|
1. Any
required maintenance?
Minor maintenance
such as routine cleaning would be a good idea. Also, we
recommend treating the Mark III like a fine piece of
furniture. The individual parts of the pod should never be
exposed to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or high
humidity. Otherwise, damage could be
incurred. |
|
2. How
will a pod fit thru my front door?
The pod comes to you
in easy-to-identify, manageable pieces. It can be moved quite
efficiently in this way. |
3.
This thing seems large and complicated, what about
assembly? That birdhouse in 11th grade shop
class didn't turn out so well, huh? No worries. Little to no technical
skills are required to assemble a Mk III. We recommend two able-bodied
individuals for assembly.
No tools are required.
The Mk III utilizes a simple, yet effective, dowel
pin system that allows for easy positioning of all wood
pieces. To provide extra
stability, all panel sections are held into
place by aluminum hinges.
A 2-man team can assemble the entire structure in no more
than 15 minutes without breaking a sweat. Disassembly takes
about the same amount of time. |
4.
What tools are required to assemble? Anything that you
need to assemble a Mark III is included. Basic assembly only
requires a small hammer and flat-head screwdriver, which comes with
your purchase. |
5.
Have you accounted for the wiring of a complete PC
setup? Yes. Holes and slots have been
strategically placed throughout the pod to allow for easy placement
of all cables. Planning out where you will need to run
cables for your PC setup is something that is strongly recommended
prior to assembly. |
|
6. How
much does a pod weigh? 475 lbs.
